This kit is configured specifically for the MISSION 1 PRO ILS and its MFT lens mount. Select the front glass port size that matches the filter thread of the lens you’ll be using (printed on the lens barrel), and Outex will ship the correctly matched optical glass port with your cover.

Designed for the ILS Form Factor

The GoPro MISSION 1 PRO ILS is smaller and more compact than most mirrorless and DSLR camera bodies. When installed inside the Outex flexible cover, you’ll notice some additional cover material around the body — this is by design and does not impede operation in any way. The flexible cover conforms naturally around the camera and lens, and the extra material simply folds and tucks without affecting:

• Touchscreen viewing and full touch control above water
• Access to the Camera Control button and all side/hard buttons
• Lens operation and manual focus control
• The optical alignment of the front glass port with your lens

The Outex architecture wasn’t moulded around one specific camera body — it was designed to accommodate the full range of camera shapes and sizes. The MISSION 1 PRO ILS fits naturally and securely within that system.

Match Your MFT Lens to the Right Optical Glass Port

Unlike hard housings that place a fixed viewport in front of a predetermined lens position, Outex front glass ports attach directly to the filter thread of your lens — the same way a photographic filter does. This means the optical glass port:

• Moves in unison with the lens — there is no gap or fixed housing between the port and the lens. When you zoom or adjust focus, the port moves with it, eliminating internal reflection and refraction between the housing and the lens element.
• Is matched precisely to your lens diameter — select the filter thread size printed on your MFT lens barrel (e.g. 46mm, 52mm, 58mm, 67mm). If your lens uses an adapter or step-up ring, use the outer filter thread size of that ring.
• Uses patented optical glass, not acrylic or plastic — optical glass is the same material used in the lenses themselves. It delivers superior clarity, contrast, scratch resistance, and colour neutrality compared to polycarbonate or acrylic viewports used in most competing housings. The result is that the port becomes optically continuous with the lens — not a compromise in front of it.

Common MFT lenses compatible with the GoPro MISSION 1 PRO ILS include the Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8, Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8, Panasonic 7-14mm f/4, Leica DG 8-18mm f/2.8-4, and others. Extend Your MISSION 1 PRO ILS Setup with External Monitoring and Recording

Pair the GoPro MISSION 1 PRO ILS with the GoPro Media Mod to create a more advanced underwater monitoring and recording setup. With a compatible HDMI, USB-C, or wireless connection, an external device such as a smartphone or digital recorder can be housed inside the Outex system alongside the camera and used for visibility (viewing screen), settings controls, recording, etc.

This gives you new options for professional underwater production, including:

• Adjusting settings from an external device
• Monitoring the camera’s video feed while shooting
• Recording to a compatible external device
• Keeping connected equipment protected inside the housing while working underwater

Outex is designed as a flexible, modular system rather than a single-purpose camera shell. Add the appropriate Accessory Kit for external cable or tethering configurations, or add tripod-mounting hardware when you need a more stable platform for fixed shots, monitoring, or controlled underwater production.

Both wired or wireless capabilities remain possible inside the Outex housing/cover since the wireless signals can still travel inside the case between the devices; GoPro Camera, Media Mod, Phone, or Recorder. 

The touchscreen is still operational above water through the Outex cover, but limited underwater due to water pressure. Underwater control can be achieved using hard/trigger buttons. 

With the right combination of cover, ports, pass-throughs, mounts, and accessories, Outex can grow with your workflow, from a compact underwater camera housing to a professional, modular imaging system for surf, rain, snow, dust, travel, and underwater environments.

Media Mod, connected devices, cables, and recording equipment are sold separately. Confirm device, connector, cable, and depth compatibility before use, and operate within the published rating of your complete Outex configuration.
