🛒 How to Configure Your Kit

This kit has three options. Here’s how to choose:

1. Cover Size

• Regular — Fits most cameras and lenses.
• Large  — Required for large-body cameras, cinema cameras, cameras with a battery grip attached, or if you’re using large/long lenses 200mm and longer.

2. Dome Size

• 120mm dome — Compact, lighter, more portable. Great value for most underwater and split-level work. Ideal for travel.
• 180mm dome — Larger dome = better optical results, especially for wide-angle lenses and split-level photography. Recommended for professional and commercial use. Heavier/bulkier than the 120mm.

3. Straps

• With Straps — Includes strap holder, neck strap, and wrist strap. Enables waterproof carrying while using the Outex system. Recommended if you’ll be in the water.
• No Straps — Straps can be added at any time from the Parts page.

1. Outex Cover — patented, malleable, tactile-rich outer housing (Regular or Large)
2. Flat front optical glass port (not acrylic/plastic). Use comments field at checkout to specify the filter thread size you want included with your purchase.
3. Rear optical glass port with universal tripod-mounted attachment
4. Optical glass dome — 120mm or 180mm diameter (your choice)
5. Dome adaptor or clamp (specify at checkout via Comments field, or we’ll confirm):
   • Adaptor — for lenses with filter threads (all sizes supported)
   • Clamp — for lenses without filter threads (fisheye, hooded, curved lenses)
6. Straps: strap holder, neck strap, wrist strap (With Straps option only)

Why a Dome Port?

Dome ports correct optical aberrations that occur when light travels between air and water — eliminating the distortion and discontinuity you see with flat ports in split-level and underwater shots. Outex domes are made of optical glass (not acrylic), and use adaptors or clamps to position the dome at the optically optimal point for your specific lens.
