Set depth
Start shallow and adjust until you’re ticking bottom occasionally. In creeks, a little bottom contact is usually the sweet spot.
Watch for signals
Dips, stalls, sideways slides, or a weird “pause” in the drift—set the hook. Creek fish don’t always pull down. Sometimes they just steal.
